Drug Addicted Youth Arrested From Agartala For Open Murder Case

Police arrested a drug addicted youth from Agartala on Wednesday involved in an open murder case.

His house is in the area adjacent to Pratapgarh Bridge in the capital Agartala. 

The accused identified as Dipankar Sarkar. The court sent the accused Dipankar Sarkar to police remand for four days. 

According to the police, on May 16, Dipankar Sarkar went to Sukhen Das's shop for tea.

After tea, Dipankar returned back saying that he has no money. Dipankar Sarkar asked Sukhen Das for cigarettes on May 17 when he was returning from the shop. 

Then Sukhen Das said that he has closed the shop, now it is not possible to open the shop. 

Then on May 18, when Sukhen Das was opening his shop, Dipankar came from behind and hit Sukhen Das on the head with a brick and seriously injured him. 

At that time, a rickshaw puller on the side of the road brought Sukhen Das in critical condition to GBP Hospital. 

After being brought to GBP Hospital, Sukhen Das succumbed to his death on Monday afternoon while undergoing treatment.
