England Tour: Team India Captain Shubman Gill And Other Players Of The Team Starts Practice

The Indian cricket team practiced fielding in England on Wednesday. Video has been posted on social media by BCCI.

The new Test captain of the Indian team, Shubman Gill, was also seen practicing catching with other players. 

At the same time, Indian team's star bowler Jaspreet Bumrah was also seen throwing and fielding

Some players of the Indian team and head coach Gautam Gambhir left for England from Mumbai airport on 6 June.

After Rohit Sharma's retirement from Tests, 25-year-old Shubman Gill has been appointed the captain of the Indian Test team.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has been made the vice-captain. This will be the team's first tour after Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired from Test cricket.

The Indian team participated in the first practice session on June 8. The players sweated it out under the guidance of coach Gautam Gambhir. 

However, many players in the team could not participate due to being members of India A.

Five test matches will be played between India and England. The first test will start in Leeds from June 20, while the last test will be played at The Oval in London from July 31. 

India has not won a test series in England since 2007. In such a situation, the team will be eyeing to win the series.
