Epstein Sex Scandal Become A Problem For Trump: Know Why

Six years have passed since Jeffrey Epstein's death, but his name has once again become a cause of controversy in American politics. This time President Donald Trump is at the center of the controversy.

The case is about the alleged 'client file' of former sexual offender Epstein, in which names of powerful leaders, business tycoons and celebrities from around the world are speculated to be included.

The Trump administration is being accused of deliberately not making these documents public because it could expose many high-profile faces.

US agency FBI and Justice Department are also being accused of suppressing the Epstein file.

Chapter-1

A teacher became a rich businessman of New York

Jeffrey Epstein used to teach math and physics in a school in New York in the seventies. It is said that the father of a student studying in that school was very impressed by him. It was he who introduced him to an investor associated with the Wall Street investment bank Bear Stearns.

After just four years, Epstein became a partner at Bear Stearns. However, in 1981, Epstein was fired on charges of fraud. A year later, he opened his own firm, 'Epstein & Company'. This firm provided financial advice to billionaires.

He claimed that he 'managed' the money of very rich people. Epstein used to say that he only managed the money of those clients whose wealth was more than '1 billion dollars'. But later several investigations found that his real business was very suspicious.

However, he became very rich in just a few years. He soon started spending his wealth and bought a farmhouse in New Mexico (1993), the largest private home in New York (1996), and a mansion in Florida (2002).

Epstein had now become a household name in America. He was socializing with big personalities. He threw lavish parties attended by celebrities like Bill Clinton, renowned scientist Stephen Hawking, and popstar Michael Jackson.

Chapter-2

Trump became Epstein's best friend

Trump and Epstein also met at a party. In a 2002 interview with a magazine, Trump said-

"I have known Jeff for 15 years, he is a wonderful guy. We both like young beautiful girls."

This statement later became a problem for Trump.

In 1992, Trump held a party with Epstein and cheerleaders at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. In 2019, NBC released footage of this. In which Trump is seen pointing to a woman and leaning over to say - look she is very hot.

Trump used to travel on Epstein's jet:

Media reports claimed that Trump had traveled on Epstein's private jet seven times. According to the New York Times, Trump made these trips between 1993 and 1997.

However, these flights were mostly between Palm Beach and New York. Trump had said that he never visited Epstein's private island and did not do anything wrong.

Chapter- 3

Rift in Trump and Epstein's friendship

The rift between Trump and Epstein's friendship came in 2004 over the 'House of Friendship' property built in Palm Beach, Florida. This property belonged to nursing home magnate Abe Gosman, which was being auctioned due to bankruptcy.

Both Trump and Epstein wanted to buy this 6-acre property. Trump had described it as the best land in America. His intention was to buy it, transform it and then sell it, while Epstein wanted to live there.

The auction took place in West Palm Beach on November 15, 2004. Trump could not attend it directly, but he participated via telephone. Three lawyers bid on behalf of Epstein. Trump acquired the property with a bid of Rs 356 crore.

Trump said- I do not consider Epstein my friend

There is no public record of any conversation between Trump and Epstein after the real estate dispute. Trump later said in 2019 that he and Epstein had a falling out and had not spoken to each other for 15 years. Trump said he no longer considered Epstein a friend.

Chapter-4

Epstein accused of sexual abuse for the first time:

Year- 2005

Location- Palm Beach, Florida

The mother of a 14-year-old girl filed a police complaint, saying that her daughter was called to Epstein's luxurious house on the pretext of a 'massage', but after reaching there, she was pressured into having sex.

When she returned home and told this to her parents, they immediately complained to the police. Then for the first time an official complaint was lodged against Jeffrey Epstein. During the police investigation it came to light that this was not an isolated case.

Gradually, about 50 minor girls were identified who made similar allegations against Epstein. The Palm Beach Police Department took this matter seriously and investigated it for several months. After this, a criminal investigation against Epstein began.

Investigation into the case revealed that Epstein owned luxurious villas in Manhattan and Palm Beach. Epstein used to hold high-profile parties here, which were attended by many big celebrities.

Epstein used to bring underage girls to parties on his private jet 'Lolita Express'. He used to force the girls by luring them with money and jewellery and by threatening them. Epstein's girlfriend and partner Ghislaine Maxwell supported him in this.

However, even after the initial investigation, Epstein did not spend long in prison. His influence was such that in 2008 he was sentenced to just 13 months, during which he could go out of prison during the day and work.

Chapter- 5

Epstein drowned in the wave of Me Too movement

After coming out of jail in 2009, Epstein kept a low profile. Exactly 8 years later, the Me Too movement started in America. In 2017, the American newspaper New York Times published several reports against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

It was reported that Weinstein sexually exploited actresses, models and employees for decades. This incident created a sensation all over the world. More than 80 women made Me Too (I was also exploited) allegations against Weinstein on social media.

It included big names like Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Uma Thurman and Ashley Judd. After this, millions of women shared their stories of exploitation by writing '#MeToo' on social media.

A woman named Virginia Griffey was also among them. She made several serious allegations against Epstein. She claimed that she was sexually abused for 3 years. After this, about 80 women complained against him.

Virginia Giuffre trapped in Trump's club

Virginia Giuffre was also a young woman who accused Epstein. She alleged that she was just 16 years old when she was working at Donald Trump's club Mar-a-Lago. It was there that she met Ghislaine Maxwell.

He offered her massage therapy. She deceived him and took him to Epstein. Giuffre claimed that she was taken to Epstein's house where she was asked to give a 'massage'. Giuffre told that she worked for Epstein and Maxwell for about 3 years.

During this time, she was sent to places around the world on private jets, and there she was forced to have 'sexual relations' with influential people.

Giuffre also accused Prince Andrew of the British royal family of forcing himself on her when she was a minor. This matter became a huge controversy in the British media.

Giuffre did not say that Trump molested her. But it came to light that Mar-a-Lago Club was the place where she was “recruited”. Virginia Giuffre died in April 2025 this year. It was described as a suicide but it once again brought the case into discussion.

Chapter-6

Epstein arrested, dies in prison

The pressure against Epstein was mounting. On 6 July 2019, Epstein was again arrested in New York on serious charges of sex trafficking. On 23 July, he was found unconscious in the cell. There were marks on his neck. It was believed that someone had tried to kill him.

After this, his security was increased, but was soon removed. On 10 August 2019, Epstein was found dead in the same high-security prison. The official report said that he committed suicide by hanging, but many medical and legal experts questioned this.

The autopsy report said some of Epstein's neck bones were broken. These injuries are usually associated with strangulation, not suicide. The day Epstein died, the security cameras outside his cell were not working and the footage has disappeared.

Since Epstein's client list included big names, it was believed that he was murdered for fear of the secret being exposed. After Epstein's death, the FBI and the Justice Department began investigating it.

Following Epstein's death, his girlfriend Maxwell was arrested in 2020 and received a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking in 2022.

Court documents, flight logs, and statements from victims (such as Virginia Giuffre) revealed that Epstein's clients may have included many big names.

Some documents were made public in 2019, 2024, and January 2025, in which names like Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew came to light, although no concrete evidence was found against them.

Know in 8 points why there is controversy over Epstein files

The Justice Department and the FBI are accused of deliberately weakening Epstein’s security before his death.
There are still no clear answers as to why the cameras in the jail were off and why the guards were sleeping. Many important files and evidence are missing or have not been made public yet.
The media and the victim women have demanded that the 'Grand Jury' documents (which are still secret) be brought out.
It is alleged that the FBI deliberately did not investigate several high-profile names or tried to protect them.
On June 5, Elon Musk claimed that Trump's name was in the Epstein Files and that this was the reason the files were not being made public.
Trump promised to make the Epstein files public when he took office. But that didn't happen.
Now when the WSJ report came out, people's anger increased further. Trump's supporters are also questioning him.
The Justice Department has now said that it will make them public (in 2025). However, its timing has not been disclosed yet.
