Family Emergency: Indian Head Coach Gambhir Returned To India From England

Indian cricket team's head coach Gautam Gambhir has returned to India from England. According to ANI, 

Gambhir has returned to India from England due to a family emergency.

The Indian team is currently on a tour of England. 

The team has to play a five-match Test series there. 

Gambhir left for England on June 6 along with the rest of the team.

The first test will be played on June 20 in Lords. 

The last test will be played at The Oval in London from July 31. 

India has not won a test series in England since 2007. In such a situation, the team will be eyeing to win the series.

Before the Test series starts , the senior team will face India A in a four-day intra-squad match at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham. 

The match will start at 3 PM from today. The match comes after India-A's two-match unofficial Test series against England Lions. Both the matches were drawn.

Shubman Gill (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudarshan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Rishabh Pant (vice-captain), Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Reddy, Shardul Thakur, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav.

This time the winner of the India-England Test series will be given a new trophy, which will be named after Sachin Tendulkar and James Anderson. This is a new initiative in honor of both the legendary players. Both Tendulkar and Anderson will unveil the trophy at Lord's during the WTC final starting on June 11.
