First Batch of Amarnath Yatra leaves: LG Manoj Sinha Flagged Off In Jammu. 3.5 Lakh Devotees Have Registered So Far

The First batch for the Amarnath Yatra left from Jammu on Wednesday. Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha flagged off the batch from Bhagwati Nagar base camp.
During this, the devotees kept chanting 'Har Har Mahadev' and 'Bam Bam Bhole'. The yatra will officially begin from July 3.
The 38-day long yatra will take place from both Pahalgam and Baltal routes.
The yatra will conclude on 9 August on the day of Rakshabandhan.
Last year the yatra lasted for 52 days and 5 lakh devotees visited the holy cave.
This year, more than 3.5 lakh pilgrims have registered so far.
For immediate registration, centers have been opened in Saraswati Dham, Vaishnavi Dham, Panchayat Bhawan and Mahajan Sabha in Jammu.
These centers are registering two thousand pilgrims every day.
