First Time Ever: Ukraine Fired US Missiles At Russia

Russia has claimed that Ukraine has fired long-range missiles supplied by the US on its territory for the first time. According to a report in the New York Times, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukraine fired six long-range Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles in the Bryansk region on Tuesday morning.

Russia said that they have shot down 5 missiles. According to the report, Ukrainian and US officials have also confirmed the use of ATACMS on Russia. The US and Ukrainian governments have not made any statement on this matter.

Russian President Putin had threatened the US in September that a nuclear war would break out if the US approved the use of long-range weapons.

ATACMS is a supersonic ballistic missile system. It can attack with precision up to 300 km.

Ukraine has the US Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). In fact, two days ago, US President Biden had given Ukraine permission to use long-range missiles within Russia.

The US had given ATACMS missiles to Ukraine in October 2023, but according to the conditions, it could use it against enemies within its own land. The US had earlier asked not to use it on Russia because it was feared that the Russia-Ukraine war would become more dangerous. But now that restriction has been lifted.

Just two days after Ukraine got permission for ATACMS missiles, Russian President Putin has approved a decision related to allowing the use of nuclear weapons. Ukraine war completed 1000 days on Tuesday.

According to this, if a country which does not have nuclear weapons attacks Russia with the support of a nuclear power country, then it will be considered a declaration of war against Russia. In such a situation, Moscow can use nuclear weapons.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said that the Third World War has begun. Medvedev said on his Telegram channel that the US has started it by allowing Ukraine to launch missile attacks inside Russia.

Medvedev said that Biden wants half the world to be destroyed in a nuclear attack. The Biden administration is deliberately taking such decisions to provoke Russia. The Trump team will have to deal with this.
