Flood Affected Farmers Yet To Receive Compensation: AIKS Tripura

Pabitra Kar, the President of All India Kisan Sabha AIKS Tripura has alleged that the state government has not kept its promises. He raised this allegation against the government in a press conference organized by the AIKS Tripura

A few days ago many farmers has been affected by floods in the state. Many families are left destitute. Although the government has announced that compensation will be delivered to them, the affected farmers of the state have not yet received any money.  Kar alleged that the government did not stand by them.

In the press conference, he said that Amarpur residents are the most affected by the flood. Besides, he also highlighted the condition of the affected areas of South District including Udaipur, Sonamura.

He also said that after talking to several affected families, it is known that those families have not received any government help yet. About two and a half lakh farmers of the state had suffered huge losses due to the floods, he said.

In the press conference, he raised the question that when the compensation of these farmers of the government will reach the victims of the state. 

Apart from this, Pabitra Kar also said that a letter has been sent by the AIKS to meet the Chief Minister of the state Dr Manik Saha
