Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been released from jail after 149 days. After being released from Ranchi's Birsa Munda Jail, Soren directly reached his father and former CM of the state Shibu Soren's residence to meet him.

Hemant Soren also looked emotional while meeting his father. After knowing about his father's well-being, Soren spoke to the media. He said that we will work to fulfill the fight we started and the resolutions we have made.

Talking to the media in Ranchi, Soren said that I have come out of jail after the last 5 months. The last 5 months have been worrying for Jharkhand. The whole country knows why I went to jail. Finally the court has given its justice and under that I am out of jail today. I respect the court. Today this is a message for the whole country that how a conspiracy was hatched against us. How the judicial process is taking years and not days or months.

The former CM further said that I was kept in jail for five months by making a false story. Similarly, people who raised their voice against the government are in jail in different parts of the country. The Chief Minister of Delhi is in jail. People are being put in jail even while being ministers. The process of justice is becoming so long that it is taking years, not days.

He said that somewhere, people who are doing their responsibilities towards their respective states, society and country with full dedication, are being obstructed. Today I will not say much, but today I am once again in the midst of the public. We will definitely work to take our fight to its destination.

Soren further said that today I feel that this is a message for the whole country about how conspiracies have been hatched against us. The court order will come before you now. I do not want to say anything in this regard with my own tongue. If we review the court order properly, then everything will be known.

The ED, which is investigating the allegations of money laundering in the land scam case in Jharkhand, arrested Hemant Soren on January 31 this year. Soren had resigned from the post of Chief Minister a few hours before his arrest. The ED arrested him from his residence in Ranchi.
