Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha turned Sunday into a celebration of both faith and leadership as he visited several Durga Puja pandals in Dharmanagar and Kailashahar, transforming his official tour into a people’s festival.
Walking through the brightly decorated pandals, the Chief Minister interacted with organisers and common devotees, appreciating their efforts in bringing alive the state’s cultural grandeur.

His stop at the Ramakrishna Mission Puja was marked by moments of devotion as he offered prayers, seeking blessings from Goddess Durga.
“Durga Puja is not merely a religious event; it is the soul of our society. It unites people across communities in joy, harmony, and togetherness,” Saha said, while urging citizens to celebrate peacefully.
What stood out was the warmth with which locals welcomed their Chief Minister.

From organisers presenting traditional greetings to residents showering him with affection, Saha’s visit carried the essence of community bonding. His presence at the pandals was not just ceremonial but symbolic of a leader sharing festivities with his people.
Meanwhile, the state administration, under his guidance, has prepared extensively to ensure safe celebrations. Nearly 3,000 pujas are being organised across Tripura, with around 8,000 additional police and TSR personnel deployed. The DGP confirmed that advanced measures like CCTV surveillance, joint BSF patrolling, and plainclothes deployment will make the security “foolproof.”
For Tripura, this year’s Durga Puja is more than spectacle — it is a testimony to a Chief Minister who walks with the people, blending devotion with duty, and ensuring that faith and festivity thrive in an atmosphere of peace.
