Gambhir Unhappy With Team India's Performance In Australia

After the defeat in the Melbourne Test, Indian team's head coach Gautam Gambhir has expressed his displeasure over the performance of the players. According to the Indian Express, immediately after the players returned to the dressing room after the defeat, Gambhir told the entire team that enough is enough.

Gambhir also expressed his displeasure over the wrong shot selection of the players. Without naming anyone, he said that the players who make excuses of playing natural game will have to play according to the situation.

According to the report, Gambhir has said-I had given the players 6 months to play their own way, but now it is all over. From now on, any player who does not play according to my plan for the team will be told thank you."

Gambhir had demanded the return of Cheteshwar Pujara in this series. Gambhir wanted Pujara to return to the Test team, but the selectors refused. 36-year-old Pujara played an important role in the last two Australian tours.

Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli were seen playing irresponsible shots in the Melbourne Test as well. Captain Rohit Sharma advised Pant on his shot while Sunil Gavaskar called his shot stupid. Pant was caught at deep-third man in the first innings while trying to play a scoop shot on Scott Boland's ball. Kohli, on the other hand, got out several times in the entire series on balls going outside the off side.
