Gondacherra: Pradyot Paid Last Respect To Parameshwar Reang. Opposition Slams Govt

Chairman of TIPRA Motha Pradyot Kishore Debbarman paid his last respect to Parameshwar Reang, who was killed in Gandacherra. He spoke to the family of the victim and assured strictest punishment to the accused.  

"TTAADC will provide financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the family of the deceased", he said.

"I have appealed to the  Tiprasa to maintain peace. We have to fight unitedly. But keeping the peace. Parameshwar Riang cannot be brought back. But I have spoke to the DGP about this. The accused will be identified and punished" he said.

Notable that after the death of a 21-year-old youth named Parameshwar Reang, miscreants vandalized, looted and set fire to several houses in Gandacherra Sub-division under Dhalai District of Tripura on Friday night. 

After this incident on Saturday, Amara Bangali party hits the the street of Agartala city.

On the other hand Opposition leader Jitendra Chaudhary, former chief minister Manik Sarkar and state Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha pointed fingers at the government. 

After the body of Parameshwar reached at his home in Gandacherra on Friday night, a section of people created an atmosphere of unrest against another section. Amara Bangali took to the streets against this. After a long demonstration in front of the Amara Bengali party office in Shib nagar , party secretary Gauranga Rudrapal said that on July 7, a fair was going on in Gandacherra. There was a gathering of wine and tides. During an argument there, a young man named Parameshwar Reang came in contact with an electric wire. Then he was taken away from the electricit connection and brought to the local Gandacherra hospital in an injured conditions. From there the doctor on duty referred him to GBP Hospital. Parameshwar died while undergoing treatment at GBP Hospital.

After his death on Friday there started an attack by a  section of people on another section of people. And those who organized these incidents started such terror by spreading goons from different places including Amarpur, Ompi and Ambassa . Then a large part of the people left their homes and took shalter in the forest. Of these, 50 families have been severely affected. The people of the section have issued a warning not to allow the people of another section to stay in Gandacherra. 

In view of this incident, he also said that after 2018, the BJP government has been providing various facilities to those who were the heroes of the 80's riots. Again announced a special package for their development. 

He said, the son of the soil is Bengalis. Such terror is not acceptable with them. He also said that Bengalis are not at the mercy of anyone. He demanded strict punishment of those involved in this incident, adequate compensation to those who suffered, establishment of TSR camps in remote areas including Gandacherra sub-division. 

Meanwhile, Jitendra Chowdhury, the leader of the opposition party in the state, said that after hearing about the incident, he asked the District Magistrate to arrange police force. He assured to look into the matter. Then as usual the District Superintendent of Police was sent there but could not bring the situation under control. Then during the night it was called to talk to the Director General of the State Police to arrange for an experienced officer to be sent there. Such incidents continued till two o'clock in the night. 

It is being informed by the Left Front that this incident is not desirable in any way. Another thread is to take immediate action so that no one gets hurt. In addition, he urged people with good sense to come forward in order to maintain peace and harmony. He also said that there is no work in the villages of the state, the government is not even able to pay the wages of the last financial year. Even then, how did the government allow such program? And this kind of Anand Mela is not only in Gandacherra, Ganja, gambling Syndicate has been formed in the name of 'Ananda Mela' in different parts of the state. The workers of the ruling party are involved in this. When they tell the police there is no problem with permission.

So the government is responsible for this. It is being demanded that the government should take initiative and hold a peace meeting with people from all parts. He demanded to provide security until the situation becomes normal. He also demanded to give a government job to the family of the deceased youth Parameshwar and fully cooperate with those who have been affected by the miscreants' terrorism. 

They also demanded to provide treatment to those affected and food for the victims. 

Meanwhile, Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that he spoke to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday night about this incident. At around 10 pm on the first night, the Chief Minister was asked to direct the police to deal with the situation firmly. Yet this incident happened.

Although there was a peace meeting on Saturday morning, the situation is at a standstill. He also said that the government should stand by those who have suffered after this incident. He said that cooperation should be extended. 

On the other hand, state Congress president Ashish Kumar Saha said that the government and administration could have prevented this incident. But it has been seen that the administration is silent. The government is inviting riots between two sections of people. So the government is responsible for this.
