Gondacherra: Transgenders Stood By Refugees in Their Grief

Those who are disgraced in the eyes of the society and those who are shunned by the society, and those who are dependent on the society, today stood by the society. 

In the above quotation those two words who and they are used may not consider civilized society as part of the family. Here are those and they are none other, they are all part of our family.

In the eyes of the society they are known as brihannala, hijra and third gender ir transgenders . Educated and polite society even today knows them as Hijra and if they see them, they close the gate of the house. 

They also proved that they are the part of the society. Last July 12, about hundred families became proletarians in the turbulent Gandacherra under Dhalai District of Tripura. 

They are still sheltered in the refugee camp of Gandacherra High School. Those who are known as transgender in this civilized society (!) performed their duty for the society.

They collected the little money from people's houses from morning to night.

And with that money, they bought clothes for women and clothes for children and reached in Gandacherra on Friday. 

On this day  Puja Kayastha, Lata Pal along with some of them stood by the victim families of Gondacherra who are now in shalter house. 

They said that People don't know what their destiny is. None of us know what will happen to us tomorrow. But everyone loses to fate. But those who stand by the side of the people in this difficult time are the responsible philanthropists of the society who have also shown their fingers in the eyes of hypocritical philanthropists".

Transgenders Lata, Puja said they will come again to Gandacherra. They are very shocked to see this scene of helpless people
