Govt Wants To Provide Affordable Flats To Low-income People: Tripura CM

"The work of government-built flats should be constructed in line with the needs of the people. The present government wants to provide government flats easily to the low-income people in the state. In that case, utmost importance should be given to maintaining the quality of work in the construction of flats."
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this at the 107th board meeting of the Tripura Housing and Construction Board at the Secretariat Conference Hall.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha emphasized on completing the work of various projects of the Tripura Housing and Construction Board within time while maintaining quality.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister inquired about the details of the work of the Tourism and Cultural Hub under construction at Gandhighat in Agartala.
Secretary of the Information and Culture Department Dr. Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty informed the Chief Minister about this. Apart from this, the Chief Minister was informed about the work of Eklavya Vidyalaya built in various places in the state, Eco Park in Mirza, Grand Stand in Udaipur, 100-bed Girls Hostel in Ampi, Youth Home in Ambasa.
He inquired about the details of the proposed Agartala Convention Center at the place adjacent to the Amtali bypass.
He stressed the importance of maintaining proper infrastructure in the construction of various government buildings in Agartala city or its surrounding areas.
In the meeting, Secretary of the Public Works Department Kiran Gitte discussed the budget of the Tripura Housing and Construction Board for 2024-25 and 2025-26.
The Board's Chief Executive Officer SK Rampal presented various decisions taken in the last board meeting and their implementation in detail through a power point presentation.
Officers from various levels of the Tripura Housing and Construction Board were also present in the meeting.
