Harshit Rana Included With Team India In England At The Last Moment

Indian fast bowler Harshit Rana has been asked to stay with Team India in England for the Test series. He was previously part of India 'A' and played in 2 matches against England Lions. Apart from this, he also played an intra-squad match against the Indian Test team.
According to the team management, Rana's speed and bouncy bowling can be beneficial on English pitches. However, he has not been included in the Test squad yet. The Indian team has to play a 5-Test series against England from June 20. The first match will be played at Headingley, Leeds. The tour will last till August 4.
Brilliant bowling against England Lions
Rana recently played for India 'A' in the first match against England Lions, taking 1 wicket in 27 overs and conceding 99 runs and scoring 16 runs. He has taken 48 wickets in 13 matches in first class cricket at a bowling average of 27.79. Apart from this, he has also performed well in batting, which includes a century and two half-centuries.
Made his debut in Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Harshit Rana made his Test debut during the Australia tour last year. In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he took a total of 4 wickets in 2 Test matches, his average was 50.75. Harshit's best performance was in Perth, where he took 3 wickets for 48 runs.
However, he has not been selected in the team for the five-Test series against England. Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj are the pacers of the team.
