Head Coach of Team India Holds Press Conference Before Leaving For Sri Lanka

Indian cricket team's new head coach Gautam Gambhir held a press conference on Monday before leaving for Sri Lanka. This was Gautam Gambhir's first press conference as head coach.
Chief selector Ajit Agarkar was also present in it. Gambhir and Agarkar answered many important questions. Journalists asked Gambhir many sharp questions, but he answered every question fearlessly.
In the press conference, Gautam Gambhir answered every big question like giving the captaincy of the T20 team to Suryakumar Yadav, the future of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma,My relationship is personal.
"Right now we are representing India. We have a very good relationship on the field. Sometimes you want headlines, and it is good for TRP" he said.
At the same time, it has also become clear from the press conference that young batsman Shubman Gill will be given a chance in all three formats. The return of Mohammed Shami, the support staff of Team India, dropping Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya not becoming the captain.
Suryakumar has been given the captaincy of Team India in the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka. He is not a part of the ODI series. Head coach Gautam Gambhir indicated in the press conference that Surya is part of his plan only in T20.
Gautam Gambhir said, "We are going through a change due to the retirement of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. Suryakumar is not a part of the ODI plan. He is only a T20 player."
Regarding Team India's support staff, Gautam Gambhir said, "We have a month after the India-Sri Lanka series. I have worked with Abhishek (Nair) and Ryan (Rian Ten Deutsche), and a decision will be taken within a month. I have feedback about others and I am really looking forward to working with them."
Regarding Rohit and Kohli, Gambhir said, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have shown what they can do on the big stage. Both have a lot of cricket left in them. Hopefully they can perform well till the 2027 World Cup. Any team would like to have them and they have a lot of cricket left in them.
