IND vs NZ: Washington Sundar Joins Team India For 2nd, 3rd Test

The Indian team has lost the first match of the Test series against New Zealand. After being all out for 46 runs in the first innings of the match, the team made a comeback but still could not win. New Zealand won the match by 8 wickets. The second match of the series is to be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune from October 24. Off-spin all-rounder Washington Sundar has been included in the Indian team. Sundar played his last Test for India about three and a half years ago in early 2021 against England in Ahmedabad. He will become part of the team before the second match. Sundar will also be a part of the Indian team in the third match. The third match of the Test series between India and New Zealand will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Washington Sundar is currently playing against Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy. His team is playing against Delhi. In the first innings of this match, he scored a century while playing at number three. Sundar scored 152 runs in 269 balls. In bowling too, he has taken two wickets for 42 runs in 17 overs. 25-year-old Sundar has taken 6 wickets in 4 Tests for India and scored 265 runs at an average of 66. He also has three fifties to his name. He also scored a half-century in the 2021 Gaba Test.
