India has won the T20 World Cup title for the second time. In the final played in Barbados, Team India defeated South Africa by seven runs in a thrilling match.
After winning the toss and batting first, India scored 176 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs. In reply, South Africa's team could score 169 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs.
With this victory, South Africa's attempt to remove the tag of chokers failed. The Indian team did not lose a single match in this tournament. This is the first time in T20 World Cup history that a team has won the trophy without losing a single match.
India has won the T20 World Cup for the second time. For the first time in 2007, MS Dhoni's team made India the world champion in this format. The Indian team has also won the ODI World Cup.
