India on Sri Lanka Tour: Suryakumar Yadav T20I Captain. Rohit Sharma For ODIs

The Indian team was announced on Thursday for the three-match T20 series between India and Sri Lanka starting from July 27.
Suryakumar Yadav has been made the captain of this team. At the same time, Rohit Sharma will be seen captaining the ODI team. Virat Kohli will also be a part of the ODI series in this tour. Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain for both the series on this tour.
Three players of the T20 World
Cup champion team, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja have retired. Apart from them, Bumrah has also been given rest from this series. Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have also not got a place in the T20 team. Chahal has also not got a place in the ODI team. Kuldeep Yadav will be a part of the ODI team.
Nine players of the team that defeated Zimbabwe 4-1 under the captaincy of Shubman Gill will be part of the T20 team on the Sri Lanka tour.
However, Abhishek Sharma and Rituraj Gaikwad, who scored centuries in this tour, could not make it to the team. Apart from Abhishek and Rituraj, Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Dhruv Jurel, Tushar Deshpande, Harshit Rana, Jitesh Sharma and Sai Sudarshan have also not been able to make it to the team for the Sri Lanka tour.
Gautam Gambhir will go on Sri Lanka tour for the first time after taking over as the head coach of Team India. Under his coaching, India will want to win this series at all costs. Earlier, Team India won the five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe 4-1. However, VVS Laxman was seen playing the role of head coach on this tour.
India won this series under the leadership of Gill. He has now got the fruits of this. Gill has been made the vice-captain on both the T20 and ODI tours.
The three-match T20 series between India and Sri Lanka will start from July 27. The Indian team can leave for this tour after the 20th. However, no official information has been given by the BCCI regarding this so far. The second match will be played on 28th and the third match on 30th July.
