India Reaches in The Final of T20 WC. Beats England in Semifinal

India defeated England in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024. Akshar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav never let the team led by Jos Buttler dominate while defending 172 runs. 

The entire England team was all out in the 17th over. Earlier, Rohit Sharma scored a half-century for India and Suryakumar Yadav also missed his fifty. 

Now India  to face South Africa in the final on June 29.

Earlier, England won the toss and invited India to bat first. The match was to be played from 8:00 pm according to Indian Standard Time. But it started late due to rain. 

Team India has booked a ticket to the final by remaining undefeated. They have avenged their defeat to England in the 2022 semi-final. 

The toss in the match took place at 8:50 pm. Team India batted first and scored 171/7 in 20 overs.

In the history of T20 World Cup, the teams of India and England (IND vs ENG) have clashed 4 times where both have won 2-2 matches. 

Both have faced each other 33 times in T20 International cricket where Team India has been successful in winning 12 matches while England has been victorious in 11 matches.
