A full-strength India national cricket team is set to tour Ireland in June 2026 for a two-match T20 International series, as confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Saturday.
The upcoming series will mark India’s first T20I assignment since their emphatic triumph in the ICC tournament, where they outclassed New Zealand national cricket team by 96 runs in Ahmedabad on March 8.
India’s recent record against Ireland underscores their dominance, having toured the country three times in the past eight years (2018, 2022, and 2023). The visitors registered clean sweeps in both 2018 and 2022, while securing a 2-0 victory in the three-match series in 2023, with one fixture abandoned due to weather. Notably, Ireland is yet to register a win against India in T20 internationals.
The Ireland series forms part of a demanding 2026 international calendar. Ireland is also scheduled to host a one-off Test against New Zealand, followed by a five-match ODI series against Afghanistan national cricket team.
Meanwhile, India will also engage in a bilateral series against Afghanistan following the Indian Premier League. The red-ball contest will commence with a one-off Test on June 6, followed by a three-match ODI series. The fixtures are slated to be held in Dharamsala (June 14), Lucknow (June 17), and Chennai (June 20).
Further extending their international commitments, India will embark on a tour of England in July, featuring eight white-ball fixtures comprising five T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals.
