Team India secured their spot in the Asia Cup 2025 Final with a commanding 41-run victory over Bangladesh in the Super-4 clash at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday.
Batting first, India posted 168/6, powered by Abhishek Sharma’s explosive 75 off 37 balls and valuable contributions from Hardik Pandya (38) and Shubman Gill (29). Bangladesh’s bowling highlight was Mustafizur Rahman, who picked his 150th T20I wicket, becoming the country’s leading wicket-taker, surpassing Shakib Al Hasan.
In reply, Bangladesh folded for 127 in 19.2 overs, despite opener Saif Hasan’s fighting 69. India’s bowlers dominated, with Kuldeep Yadav grabbing 3 wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakraborty claimed two each.
With this win, India leads the Super-4 with 4 points. Pakistan and Bangladesh (2 points each) will face off to decide the second finalist, while Sri Lanka is out of contention.
