India Women continued their dominant run against Sri Lanka Women, registering a 30-run victory in the fourth T20I at the Greenfield Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, after posting their highest-ever T20I total of 221 for 2.

Asked to bat first, India rode on a sensational 162-run opening partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma. Mandhana smashed 80 off 45 balls, reaching her fifty in just 35 deliveries, while also becoming the fourth woman cricketer to complete 10,000 international runs. Shafali Verma continued her purple patch, scoring 79 for her third consecutive fifty of the series.

The late flourish came from Richa Ghosh, who remained unbeaten on 40 off just 16 balls, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur chipped in with an unbeaten 16 off 10 balls, helping India post a formidable 221.

Chasing a daunting target of 222, Sri Lanka Women made a spirited effort and registered their best-ever T20I total of 191 for 6. Captain Chamari Atapattu led from the front with a fighting 52, while Hasini Perera (33), Imesha Dulani (29) and Nilakshi de Silva (23) provided valuable contributions. Despite a brisk start of 58 runs in the first five overs, Sri Lanka fell short in the end.

For India, Vaishnavi Sharma and Arundhati Reddy picked up two wickets each, while Sri Charani claimed one wicket and effected a run-out.

With this win, India took an unassailable 4-0 lead in the five-match series. The fifth and final T20I will be played on December 30, again in Thiruvananthapuram.
