IPL 2024: RCB Confirmed Place in Playoffs

Royal Challengers Bangalore team has confirmed its place in the playoffs of the 17th season of IPL. 

In their last league match against Chennai Super Kings, RCB team batted first and scored 218 runs in 20 overs. After this, to seal their place in the playoffs, they had to stop CSK before the score of 201 runs, in which they were successful. 

While chasing the target of 219 runs in this match, Chennai Super Kings team managed to score only 191 runs in 20 overs, with which they lost the match by 27 runs and also failed to reach the playoffs. Couldn't succeed.

Chennai Super Kings team, which came to chase the target of 219 runs, got a very bad start in this match in which they lost their first wicket in the form of captain Ruturaj Gaikwad on the very first ball of the innings. After this, CSK got the second blow in the form of Daryl Mitchell on the score of 19. 

From here Rachin Ravindra and Ajinkya Rahane tried to handle CSK's innings and a partnership of 66 runs was seen between the two for the third wicket. Rahane returned to the pavilion after playing an innings of 33 runs in this match.

While bowling for RCB in this match, Yash Dayal took 2 wickets while Glenn Maxwell, Mohammed Siraj, Cameron Green and Lockie Ferguson managed to take 1 wicket each.

Yash Dayal, who was bowling this over for RCB, played an important role in securing RCB's place in the playoffs by giving only 1 run in the next four balls.

If we talk about RCB's innings in this match against CSK, while captain Faf du Plessis played a brilliant inning of 54 runs, Virat Kohli scored an inning of 47 runs. 

Apart from this, for RCB, Rajat Patidar played a quick inning of 41 runs while Green played a quick inning of 38 runs in 17 balls.
