Jishnu Debbarma Takes Oath As The Governor of Telangana

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura Jishnu Debbarma witnessed a historic moment on Wednesday afternoon. His biggest achievement in his long political life wad that day.
Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe administered the oath to him at Raj Bhavan in Telangana. He vowed to perform duties properly in the coming days for the sake of Telangana.
Then Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Remantha Reddy felicitated Governor Yishnu Debbarma.
Then he got acquainted with the members of the cabinet of that state. After that he took pictures with them and took part in the meal.
Jishnu Debbarma was welcomed by the Chief Minister of that state, Anumula Remantha Reddy, as he stepped foot at the Rajib Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad on this day.
A guard of honor was given to Governor Jishnu Debbarma there. Administrative officers of that state were present. Jishnu Debbarma also spoke to them.
Last Saturday night President Draupadi Murmu appointed Tripura's former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma for Telangana. It is a matter of pride for the people of the state a citizen of tripura has been appointed as the Governor of any state.
Born on August 15, 1957, Jishnu Debbarma was the youngest child of Ramendra Kishore Debbarman and Komal Prabha Devi. Along with his studies, the talented Jishnu Debbarma got involved in politics from his student life. In 1996, 1998 and 1999, he contested as a BJP candidate from the East Tripura Lok Sabha seat.
Although he did not win the next term, he served in various positions including the general secretary of the party.
He then contested the 2018 assembly elections as a BJP candidate from Charilam assembly constituency. He also became Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura.
Besides, he has served as the minister of Finance Department, Science and Technology Department, Panchayat Department and Vidyut Nigam in the state. For five years, he held important offices including Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura. But he was defeated in 2023 assembly elections. Even then he did not move an inch from state politics.
