India and Australia are scheduled to play a five-match Test series later this year. Former players of both teams have their own claims about this series, but Australia's great batsman Matthew Hayden believes that Indian batsman Virat Kohli and Australia's Steve Smith will be desperate to dominate this series in which scoring runs will not be easy.
India and Australia will start a five-Test series in Perth for the first time since 1991-92 from November 22 and Hayden said it would be difficult to choose which team will have the upper hand.
He said, you look at the teams. It is difficult to say which team will have the upper hand. I think runs will make the difference. The players who would have definitely been bet on have retired.
Hayden said that the Australian players will be desperate to end the drought of victory against India. Australia last won a bilateral Test series in 2014-15. Australian spinner Nathan Lyon is eyeing young Indian player Yashasvi Jaiswal and Hayden said that this is the right move as this opener is proving to be important for Indian cricket.
He also said that Australia will miss David Warner, who announced his retirement from international cricket in July. Hayden said, for the first time this opening pair does not seem that safe. David Warner has given a very good service to Australian cricket. He gave such a service which was extremely competitive and brilliant.
