Listed By NIA: Notorious Human Trafficking Leader Arrested From Bishalgarh

Tripura Man involved in human trafficking who was listed by National Investigation Agency has been arrested from Bishalgarh under Sepahijala District.

The police of Bishalgarh police station arrested Hannan Mia, the main accused of being involved with human traffickers, from Rastar Matha area of Bishalgarh on Sunday. Accused Hannan Mia was on the run for a long time. 

According to the police, under his leadership human trafficking gangs are working in different parts of the state. His house is in Matinagar area of Bishalgarh.

Based on secret information, the police of Bishalgarh police station nabbed him. Bishalgarh police Station's officer-in-charge Rana Chatterjee said Hannan Mia was on the run for a long time after being accused of involvement in  human trafficking case lodged by the National Investigating Agency (NIA) in 2023. 

The investigating team from Guwahati of NIA will take Hannan Mia to Guwahati on transit remand.

The police administration is confirmed that  many others are involved with him.
