Lok Sabha Elections Third Phase in Assam Live Updates: 75.26 % Vote Till 8 PM

Under the third phase of Lok Sabha Elections (Lok Sabha Elections 2024) in the country, voting is underway  for 94 seats in 11 states and union territories  today. The third phase is considered very important for BJP. In the last general elections,

NDA had won most of these constituencies located in other states including Gujarat, Karnataka, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. There are 1300 candidates in the fray for a total of 94 seats, of which 120 are women, while the number of eligible voters is more than 11 crore.

In the third phase in Assam, voting will be completed for all 14 seats in the state with the voting for four seats - Dhubri, Barpeta, Kokrajhar (ST) and Guwahati constituencies. 

In Assam, Barpeta seat has the maximum number of 14 candidates, while Guwahati seat has the least number of eight candidates.

In the third phase of polling for the Lok Sabha polls, an approximate voter turnout of 61.45 per cent was recorded till 8 pm on Tuesday, the Election Commission said. Assam recorded the highest turnout at 75.26 per cent, followed by Goa (74.27 percent) and West Bengal (73.93 percent).
