"Mafia Raj Is There In Tripura" - Leader Of The Opposition

"No compromise will be made with the anti-social elements, the Nigo mafia. Although the Chief Minister of the state  told this at various events, the reality is completely different. These anti-social elements are sitting in various government offices. Corruption and cronyism are going on in all areas of administration. A kind of mafia raj is controlling various offices."

This is how Opposition Leader Jitendra Chowdhury raised various allegations in a press conference .

He further said that since the BJP government came to power, the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated. Although the Chief Minister talks about law and order at various events, the reality is completely different. There are changes at the administrative level. One after another, officers are taking charge. But no steps are being taken to control law and order.

The Leader of the Opposition brought up the incidents of the past few days and said that on the 17th, the CPIM Bishalgarh party office was vandalized. Later, miscreants also attacked a local house. Even though the entire incident happened in front of the police, the police were not seen taking any action in this regard.

In addition, the Leader of the Opposition complained that the police are not cooperating in several other contemporary incidents.

Former Minister Manik Dey, former Minister Naresh Jamatia and others were also present  in the press conference
