Main Accused Of Club Secretary Murder Case Brought Back in Agartala

Raju Burman, the main accused  in the murder of Bharat Ratna Club secretary,  finally brought back in the state on Thursday. Raju Burman was brought to Agartala airport in thenoon. He was produced before  the court . 

It is to be noted that the Tripura Police team arrested him on Wednesday from Chatabari area under Boko police station in Kamrup District of Assam.

Durga Prasanna Deb alias Vicky, the secretary of the Bharat Ratna Sangh club, at Usha Bazar in Agartala was shot dead by miscreants around 7:30 pm on April 30.

This sensational incident took place in Shalbagan area under Bamutia Assembly. Bullet hit him in the head. He was rushed to ILS Hospital where doctors on duty declared him brought dead. Meanwhile, Vicky's family alleged that other members of the club are directly involved in the incident.

The deceased's wife alleged that she had gone out with their child to  a doctor that evening. Then around 7 pm when she called her husband, she was informed that a person named Biman Das had sent a car, he was going to his home. Since then his phone became switched off. After some time the news comes that Vicky has been shot. 

She further alleges that Raju Burman killed her husband. Deceased Vicky's wife made a direct allegation against Raju Burman and Biman Das. Based on that complaint, the police started an investigation.

Then, in the police investigation, three people are arrested by the airport police in connection with the murder of Durga Prasanna Deb. The arrested are Pradyut Dhar Chowdhury, college student Sushmita Sarkar (22) and Sunny Saha. Pradyut  was the former committee president of Bharat Ratna Sangh Club
