As political activity gathers momentum ahead of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is witnessing a steady surge in support across the state’s tribal-dominated regions.
Addressing party workers and local residents during his visit to Kanchanpur, the Chief Minister said the BJP leadership has intensified its outreach across all ADC constituencies in the run-up to the crucial polls. He claimed that tribal communities are increasingly reposing their faith in the BJP, driven largely by confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Manik Saha pointed to a notable rise in grassroots support, revealing that a large number of families formally joined the BJP during his visit. According to the Chief Minister, more than 200 families, representing around 759 voters, were inducted into the party in Kanchanpur alone—an indicator, he said, of a growing shift in political allegiance among tribal voters.
He further observed that a strong conviction has emerged within indigenous communities that long-term development and socio-economic empowerment can be achieved only under the BJP’s governance framework. The Chief Minister maintained that the party’s emphasis on inclusive development, welfare delivery, and infrastructure expansion has struck a chord with tribal populations across Tripura.
Reiterating the BJP’s commitment to tribal welfare, Manik Saha said the party remains focused on ensuring equitable growth and sustained development in ADC areas, expressing confidence that the BJP’s outreach efforts will further consolidate its position ahead of the TTAADC elections.
