Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday lauded the Union Budget, describing it as a visionary and forward-looking document that articulates a definitive roadmap for India’s transformation into a developed nation by the year 2047.
In a post shared on Facebook, the Chief Minister extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a Budget that, he said, embodies a coherent long-term vision of inclusive, sustainable, and resilient growth over the next quarter-century.
Saha observed that the Budget accords strategic priority to critical sectors such as manufacturing, the creation of world-class infrastructure, healthcare expansion, tourism development, and cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence.

He noted that these focus areas are integral to strengthening India’s economic architecture and enhancing its global competitiveness.
Emphasising the social and developmental thrust of the Budget, the Chief Minister highlighted its targeted initiatives for rural development, women’s empowerment, youth aspirations, and farmers’ welfare.

He remarked that these measures are designed to address the diverse aspirations of citizens across villages, towns, and urban centres.
Referring to allocations for modern sports infrastructure and the development of sacred pilgrimage destinations, Saha said the Budget further consolidates the foundations of a self-reliant India while reinforcing its cultural and social capital.
According to the Chief Minister, the Union Budget underscores the Centre’s unwavering commitment to balanced and inclusive development, ensuring that the dividends of economic progress permeate all sections of society, while firmly positioning India on the path to emerging as a leading global power in the decades ahead.
