No word is enough to describe the opening ceremony of Paris Olympics-2024. Players participating in the Parade of Nations riding on boats on the waves of River Seine...fans on the banks...enchanting performances by pop stars Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamuka and Celine Dion and amazing laser lights on the Eiffel Tower made the ceremony memorable. Rain showers also added to its beauty.

It seemed as if Paris, known as the 'City of Love', was welcoming the Olympic Games returning after 100 years with open arms. 

For the first time in the history of the Olympic Games, the opening ceremony was held outside a stadium. During the ceremony, a mysterious man carrying the Olympic torch was also the center of attraction.

On the first day of Paris Olympics 2024 on Saturday, Indian athletes will be seen competing in shooting, hockey, badminton, tennis, boxing, table tennis and sailing. Although many sports matches have started in Paris even before the opening ceremony, but the first day's matches will be played on Saturday after the opening ceremony. The Indian team will start the day with shooting.

Sandeep Singh / Elavenil Valarivan, Arjun Babuta / Ramita Jindal will compete in the 10 meter mixed team qualification. This match will be played from 12:30 pm Indian time. Arjun Singh Cheema and Sarabjot Singh will enter the shooting range from 2 pm in the 10 meter air pistol men's qualification. Manu Bhaker and Rhythm Sangwan will be seen trying their luck in the 10 meter air pistol women's qualification from 4:00 pm
