Mind it, Work Is Worship: CM Manik Saha To Newly Elected Panchayat Members

The state government is also working for the betterment of the people in the direction in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking the country forward. People's representatives should listen to people's problems besides being good with people. Only then will people trust us. Mind it, Work is worship"

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha said this while attending the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected members of South Tripura Zilla Parishad organized at Sachin Devabarman Auditorium in Bilonia on Friday. 

Diak Dutta was appointed as District President and Tapan Debnath as Vice President on this occasion. 

 On the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Saha congratulated and congratulated the newly elected 17 representatives of Zilla Parishad. He said, today is a very happy day. Swearing-in is almost complete in 8 districts of the state. India is a democratic country where democracy is reflected from Parliament to Panchayat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given special importance to the benefits of various people-oriented schemes and schemes of the government to reach the last man of the society. It is the responsibility of all of us to deliver the benefits of various central and state schemes to the last person through this three-tier panchayat. The Tripura government is also working under the guidance of the Prime Minister who is working with transparency to move the country forward. We also have a responsibility to act with transparency. We witnessed the reign of the previous government. We have seen various incidents in the name of transparency. But now they can't stand it. Because they no longer have any issues. So they try to create issues in different ways. When they are defeated in the elections, it is seen that they have no place anywhere. Then they say there is no democracy in Tripura. 

Chief Minister said, I will say only one thing – if you are bad, then why can't I be good. And that is the biggest. We have seen that when one's interests are served, one tries in various ways to say something. People don't want to accept them under any circumstances now. Everyone knows that. It is not enough to talk with different gestures. People have to work. We are working in that direction. Our main objective is to work for people. To the elected representatives who have taken oath here today, I would like to ask only one request that you have got this opportunity today because of God. So be aware of your responsibilities. Must treat people well. People will come to you. Because people have various problems. People need to complain about the lack of grief. Only then will people trust us. 

 The Chief Minister also discussed the recent flood situation in the state. He said that people are coming forward with help in every place to overcome the flood situation. A small child also came to me to help me with his savings of Rs 2,000. I came to the state from Delhi on the 20th of last month during the flood situation and held a meeting with all the officials. Because I am the chairman of the relief distribution committee. Talked to the chief secretary and other officials even at 10 pm. In this situation I visit various flood affected areas by helicopter. We had to monitor all the situation from Binidra for three days. Regular talks have also been held with public representatives. In addition to this, when Union Home Minister Amit Shah was informed about the whole matter, he made arrangements to quickly send the Air Force helicopter, NDRF team, rubber boat and all the accessories to deal with the flood situation. Dr. Saha said, I believe in those who do good work in terms of work. This is the real thing. We don't do politics where we accept someone's mistake. He said a retired old man came and said I want to donate some money to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Then with relief he said that the money I gave now seems to be the right thing to do. I gave it to you. This belief in people is our greatest achievement. So people representatives in three-tier panchayats have to take more responsibility and work for the people.
