Modi, Jordan King Discuss Peace, Counter-Terror Ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday met Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein at the Husseiniya Palace in Amman and discussed key bilateral, regional, and global issues. PM Modi praised Jordan’s leadership in strongly opposing terrorism, extremism, and radicalisation, and acknowledged King Abdullah II’s constructive role on the Gaza issue.

Highlighting shared concerns over regional peace and stability, PM Modi said Jordan has sent a powerful message to the world against violent extremism. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.

King Abdullah II welcomed the signing of agreements and MoUs during PM Modi’s visit, expressing optimism about expanding cooperation in trade, investment, ICT, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and energy. The Jordan-India Business Forum was also highlighted as a platform to deepen business partnerships. The visit marks a significant step in advancing the longstanding friendship between India and Jordan.
