Nation First. National Interest Is Supreme: PM Modi In Red Fort

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country from the ramparts of the Red Fort for the 11th consecutive time on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day.

During this, the Prime Minister mentioned the achievements of his government and also reiterated his resolve to make India developed by 2047.

PM Modi said, 'When it is said from the Red Fort that electricity will be provided to 18 thousand villages of the country within the time limit and that work is done, then the confidence gets strengthened. This is the golden period of India, this opportunity should not be let go.'

Paying tribute to the heroes of independence, PM Modi said, 'The lovers of freedom have given us the privilege of breathing the air of freedom. This country is indebted to them. We express our respect towards every such great man.'

Referring to the reforms done by his government, PM Modi said, 'We have chosen the path of reform, I want to assure the countrymen that our commitment towards the country is not limited to the editorial of Pink Paper. Our commitment to reforms is not for four days of applause. Our reform process is not out of any compulsion but with the intention of strengthening the country.'

The Prime Minister said, 'Today I can say that our path of reform has become a blueprint for growth. Our reform, growth, change is not a topic of discussion for experts only. Friends, we have not done this due to political compulsion. Whatever we are doing, we do not think about it by considering the political factors. We have only one resolution, Nation First. Nation First, national interest is supreme, we take steps with this resolution that my India should become great. When it comes to reform, there is a long environment. If I go into its discussion, it will probably take hours. Reforms in the banking sector are an example of this. We have done many reforms to strengthen the banking sector.'

The Prime Minister said that the emergence of natural disasters in India has increased the concerns of all of us. I would like to express my deepest condolences to the affected people and assure them that the nation stands with them in this challenging time.

PM Modi said, 'Today, the great men who are protecting the country with full dedication and commitment are also trying to take the country to new heights. They are our farmers, our soldiers, the courage of our youth, the contribution of our mothers and sisters, the Dalits, the exploited, the deprived and the oppressed.'
