NATO Expressed Concern Over Russia-China Relation

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)  expressed concern over the deepening relations between Russia and China and the growing aggression of Beijing.

In its Washington summit declaration, NATO said that the ambitions and aggressive policies of the People's Republic of China (PRC) continue to challenge our interests, security and values. The deepening strategic partnership between Russia and the PRC and the efforts of both countries to undermine and reshape the rules-based international order are of grave concern.

“We are facing hybrid, cyber, space and other threats and malicious activities from both state and non-state actors,” said the declaration issued by the heads of state and government attending the summit.

At this summit, Sweden is admitted as the 32nd member country of NATO. The declaration states that Finland and Sweden's joining NATO makes them safer and the organization stronger, also in the High North and Baltic Sea regions.

It says that Russia's aggression against Ukraine has disrupted peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic region and caused serious damage to global security. The declaration says that Russia remains the most significant and direct threat to the security of the member countries of the organization.
It says that terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations, is the most direct threat to the security of our citizens and to international peace and prosperity. The threats we face are global and interconnected.

At the summit, NATO took steps to strengthen its deterrence and defense mechanisms, increase long-term support to Ukraine in its fight against Russia, and deepen partnerships among NATO member states.

The declaration said that we warmly welcome the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the leaders of Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Republic of Korea and the European Union
