NE Region Is Poised For a Significant Rise In Development In Coming Days: Scindia

Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia, speaking to the reporters at the MBB Airport in Agartala, the capital of India upon his arrival on Friday evening, highlighted that the North East Region (NER) is poised for a significant rise in development in the coming days, a vision spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He emphasized that discussions would be held regarding the North Eastern Council’s (NEC) progress over the past year, with a focus on fulfilling the region’s aspirations.

Mr. Scindia also revealed that a banking summit would be chaired by the Union Home Minister, aimed at boosting the economy’s backbone in the North East. The summit will bring together government-owned and private banks, along with their heads. A comprehensive analysis will be conducted on the record number of bank branches and the substantial deposits mobilized within the banking system in the region.
