New India Not Like Lethargic Attitude: PM Modi To IAS Officers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met 181 trainees of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) 2022 batch who have been inducted as Assistant Secretaries in various ministries and departments.

On this occasion, he said that the new India does not like a lethargic attitude. Therefore, officers should work as catalytic agents.

He also said that Nation First is not just a slogan, but the aim of life. He also called for cooperation in making it successful.

During this interaction with the PM, various officers shared their training experiences. At the same time, the Prime Minister recalled his previous interaction with them during the initial course in 2022.

Discussing the Assistant Secretary course, he said that the objective behind it is to provide an opportunity to young officers from the top to the bottom of the administrative pyramid to learn based on experience.

He also said that the appreciation they received after selection as IAS is now a thing of the past and instead of living in the past, they should move towards the future. They will feel satisfied when they see the changes happening in front of their eyes.

He also said that now it is their choice whether they want to be a speed breaker in service delivery or a superfast highway. They should try to provide the best possible governance, quality of manufacturing and quality of life to all citizens.

Talking about schemes like Lakhpati Didi, Drone Didi, PM Awas Yojana etc, the PM said that all of them should work with a holistic approach to make these schemes reach the people. A holistic approach ensures social justice and prevents discrimination
