No Opposition in Sikkim: Lone Opposition MLA Joins Ruling SKM

There is no opposition left in Sikkim now. The only MLA of the opposition party Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), Tenzing Norbu Lamtha, joined the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM).

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang gave this information on social media. It is noteworthy that voting for the assembly elections was held in Sikkim on 19 April this year. In the results that came on June 2, SKM won 31 out of 32 seats. SDF got only one seat.

SKM now has MLAs in the 32-seat assembly. The CM himself gave this information.

CM Tamang wrote on Facebook, I am happy to meet MLA Tenzing Norbu Lamtha from 23-Siyari Assembly seat at my official residence Mintokgang today. He has now officially joined our SKM family. He joined by listening to the people. After joining SKM, Norbu said, I have come back home. I was in SKM earlier too.

He said, I sat in the opposition and thought about what I should do for the development of my area. After this I talked to the people of Siyari. I have joined SKM only because of the wishes of the people. How to develop Siyari is my priority
