Operation Sindhu: 290 More Citizens Reached India From Iran. 1,117 Indians Returned So Far

A total of 1,117 Indians have been evacuated so far under Operation Sindhu amid the Iran-Israel conflict.
Another plane from Mashhad reached New Delhi at 11:30 pm on Saturday carrying 290 citizens. Earlier, a batch of 310 citizens had reached the capital at 4.30 pm.
On June 20, 407 Indians returned in two batches. 290 people including 190 Kashmiri students returned in the 10:30 pm flight.
These also included people from Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka and West Bengal. There were 117 people in the 3 am flight.
On June 19, 110 students reached India via Armenia and Doha. These passengers who reached Delhi from Iran raised slogans of 'Vande Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' at the airport.
Some people also became emotional. Tears came to their eyes. Some bowed their heads on the ground.
What did the people who returned to India say...
Mohammad Ashfaq- It feels good to return to my country. The Indian Embassy there took good care of us, I am thankful to them.
Ustaaq- I am from Kashmir. The situation in Iran is not good. We are very grateful to the Indian government, Kashmir administration and the embassy.
Syed Nihal Haider- It feels great to be back in India. When we were there, we felt as if we were stuck. But the Indian government made very good arrangements for us.
Fatima- I am very grateful to Prime Minister Modi. Now I feel peace after coming back to my country. It is a matter of great happiness to return to my country.
Elia Batool- My family was very worried. We felt relieved after coming here. Many thanks to the Indian government. We did not face any problem there because our embassy supported us a lot.
Syed Mansoor Hussain- Everyone came to Mother India and bowed down. Many thanks to the Indian government. I love India.
Iran opens airspace, evacuates 1000 Indians
Iran had allowed the evacuation of about 1000 Indian citizens by lifting the restrictions imposed on the airspace.
Most of them are students, who were brought from Tehran to Mashhad, the capital of Iran.
Now they were brought to India through three charter flights. These flights were operated by Iranian airline Mahan.
These were arranged by the Indian government under Operation Sindhu. Mohammad Jawad Hussaini, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Iranian Embassy, said that if needed, more flights can be operated in the coming days.
