Opposition Attacks PM As He Backs Anurag Thakur's Speech On Caste

Monsoon session of Parliament is going on. There is a controversy over Anurag Thakur's speech on budget. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on his Instagram that Anurag Thakur's speech in Lok Sabha must be heard. It has a perfect mix of facts and humor. This speech exposes the dirty politics of INDIA alliance.

Congress termed this statement of Modi as a violation of parliamentary privilege, extremely insulting and unconstitutional. Congress also said that Anurag Thakur's speech degrades Dalits, tribals and backward classes (OBC).

Anurag Thakur had said in the Lok Sabha on July 30 that he does not know his caste and he keeps talking about caste census. Anurag did not name anyone in his statement. The opposition had alleged that Anurag said this for Rahul Gandhi. The statement has been removed from the proceedings of the Lok Sabha.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh wrote on X - The non-biological Prime Minister wrote for the speech - must listen. This is extremely insulting and unconstitutional. The PM also shared the speech. This is like promoting violation of parliamentary privilege. The statement has been removed from all parliamentary norms, but this statement is being edited and is being circulated outside. Sansad TV has put up the speech without editing. The non-biological Prime Minister is sharing the video and praising it publicly.

At the same time, Congress MP and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi gave notice to the Lok Sabha Speaker to bring a privilege motion against the PM. Channi said that I have proposed to bring a privilege motion under rule 222 of running the Lok Sabha. The PM shared that statement on his social media, which has been removed from the proceedings of the House.

On Anurag Thakur's statement, SP's Dharmendra Yadav said that there is no place for SC, ST, OBC and Muslims in the hearts of BJP people. We are constantly demanding caste census and the government is constantly denying it.
Congress leader Digvijay Singh said that I cannot expect the Prime Minister's support for such a statement.

Priyanka Gandhi said that 80% of the people of the country are demanding socio-economic census. It was said in Parliament that those who do not know about caste are talking about caste census. Will 80% of India's population be mistreated in Parliament now? PM Modi should give clarification on this.

Anurag Thakur, without taking Rahul Gandhi's name, said- You get slips to speak. Politics cannot be done with borrowed intelligence. These days some people are obsessed with caste census. Those who do not know about caste, want to get caste census done.

Rahul Gandhi said that whoever raises the issue of Dalits has to face abuses. I will happily take all these abuses. When the Mahabharata was discussed, Arjuna could only see the eye of the fish, so we want caste census and we will get it done. No matter how much abuse I am given for this.

SP President and MP Akhilesh Yadav said that how can anyone ask someone's caste
