Opposition Walks Out As Tripura Assembly Congratulated PM Modi

The Tripura Assembly has passed a resolution on Thursday congratulating Narendra Modi-led government on formation at the Center for the third time in a row.
Bishwabandhu Sen, Speaker of the House read the resolution, the opposition moved in protest.
CPIM and Congress MLAs started protesting at the well as soon as the speaker started reading the proposal. The freshers on the Treasury bench chanted slogans in support of the proposal despite opposition protests.
As a result, within moments, the Assembly was heated with uproar.
The speaker continued to read the resolution amid protests from the opposition. As a result, the opposition walked out of the session in protest.
On this day, the session room echoed with Modi slogans from Treasury bench freshmen during opposition protests.
A congratulatory resolution was passed in the state assembly congratulating the candidates, elected members of parliament and all the voters who participated in the recently held eighteenth Lok Sabha elections.
After reading out the resolution by Principal Vishwabandhu Sen, it was adopted by voice vote. In the proposal, the principal mentioned that the 18th Lok Sabha elections, known as one of the main festivals of democracy in India, were held for 542 seats. 65.79 percent voters exercised their right to vote in this election held in June.
The State Assembly extends its warmest greetings and congratulations to all the voters, all the elected representatives of the Lok Sabha and the newly formed Central Government.
The congratulatory message said that through the 10th Lok Sabha elections, a permanent and strong NDA government has been formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for more than three terms. In this regard, the electorate of the country has once again expressed their confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Incidentally, the monsoon session in the Tripura Legislative Assembly began on Wednesday, September 4.
On the same day, the Tripura Legislative Assembly wanted to pass a congratulatory resolution on the formation of the government at the Center under the leadership of Modi for the third time in a row. But, as the condolence motion was read, the congratulatory motion was not read in the interest of Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman.
Opposition leader Jitendra Chowdhury objected when the principal went to read the congratulatory proposal at the end of the question and answer session today.
According to him, there was no discussion in the business advisory committee meeting about that congratulatory proposal. Even, no discussion and consent was taken with the opposition in this regard. Frankly, we do not agree with the statement of the congratulatory proposal.
Consequently, the proposal should not be forwarded without consensus.
But, the speaker did not entertain the objections of the opposition and proceeded to read the felicitation. At that, the opposition turned red and started protesting. Once they went down to the well and started protesting.
On the other hand, members of the Treasury Bench also chanted Modi slogans. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath said in a tone that the formation of the government under the leadership of Narendra Modi for the third consecutive time at the center is a historic event.
