Paris Olympics: China Is On Top With 21 Gold. India At 58 With 3 Bronze

China is number one in the Olympic medal tally with 21 gold, 17 silver and 14 bronze medals. America is second and France is third.
India is ranked 58th with 3 medals. Manu Bhaker won bronze medals for India in the women's individual 10 meter air pistol event, the pair of Manu and Sarabjot Singh won bronze medals in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event. Swapnil Kusale also won bronze in the 50 meter rifle three position.
Meanwhile Indian wrestler Nisha Dahiya could not reach the semi-finals of the Paris Olympics. She lost the quarter-finals of the women's 68 kg category of wrestling 8-10 on Monday.
At one point Nisha was leading 8-1, but she suffered an injury to her hand. Nisha lost 10-8 in the last 33 seconds.
India's badminton player Lakshya Sen also could not win the bronze medal match in men's singles. He was defeated by Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia. India has not won any medal in badminton in the Olympics after 12 years.
Earlier, PV Sindhu won bronze in 2020, silver in 2016 and Saina Nehwal won bronze in 2012.
The pair of shooters Anant Jeet Singh and Maheshwari Chauhan also missed out on a medal in the skeet mixed team event. The Indian women's table tennis team has qualified for the quarter-finals
