Paris Olympics: Indian Hockey Team Wins Bronze. Beats Spain

India has won the medal by defeating Spain 2-1 in the bronze medal match at the Paris Olympics. 

Harmanpreet Singh scored both the goals for India in this match. While Marco Marilles scored one goal for Spain. This has happened after 52 years in the history of Indian hockey, when Team India has been able to win two consecutive medals in the Olympics.

While Marco Marilles scored one goal for Spain. This has happened after 50 years in the history of Indian hockey, when Team India has been able to win two consecutive medals in the Olympics.

This is the 13th medal for Indian hockey in the Olympics. In the first quarter of this match, no team was able to create a penalty corner opportunity for itself. 

However, in the initial minutes of this quarter, Sukhjeet missed a golden opportunity to score a field goal. With a slight angle, his ball went past the goal post.
 
After this, Spain was given a penalty stroke only three minutes later in the second quarter, which Marc Miralles converted into a goal and put his team ahead 1-0. However, in the second quarter also the Indian team missed another chance to score a goal, when Hardik missed sending Jarmanpreet's shot into the goalpost.

In this quarter, India equalized the score to 1-1 by converting a penalty corner into a goal in the last minute. This goal was scored by Indian team captain Harmanpreet Singh. 

In the third quarter, Harmanpreet Singh once again became the goal scorer for India, who converted another penalty corner into a goal with 12 minutes remaining in this quarter. With this, India's lead increased to 2-1.

Soon after this, India got another penalty corner, but this time it could not be converted into a goal. In the fourth quarter, the Spanish team tried hard to make a comeback and they also got two consecutive penalty corners in the last minute, but the Indian defense did a great job and did not let any goal be scored
