Paris Olympics: India's Archery Team To Participate In Ranking Round Today

Events have started in Paris Olympics from 24th July in which India's archery team will participate in the ranking round today ie on 25th July. 

All eyes will be on India's star archery player Deepika Kumari. India has sent a team of 6 archers including male and female players in archery to Paris Olympics. 

Apart from this, the draw for the table tennis event has been announced in which Manika Batra will face 18-year-old player Anna Hersey of Great Britain. 

At the same time, the Indian men's team will face the Chinese team in the table tennis event.

Meanwhile the Olympic Games have started in Paris, the capital of France, in which football and rugby sevens matches were played on 24 July. 

Apart from these two events, on 25 July i.e. today, there will be women and men's events of handball and archery in which Indian athletes will also be seen in action. Archery ranking round will be held in Les Invalides. Apart from Deepika Kumari, Bhajan Kaur, Ankita Bhakat, Tarundeep Rai, Praveen Jadhav and Dheeraj Bommadevara are included in this ranking event of archery from India.

Before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, the draw of the table tennis event has been announced. In this, star Indian female player Manika Batra will face Anna Hersi. While Sreeja Akula will play against Sweden's player Christina Kalberg in the round of 64. 

Apart from this, experienced Indian player Sharath Kamal in the men's category will face 27-year-old Slovenia's player Dani Kozul in the first round. In the team event, the Indian men's team will play against China while the women's team will get a chance to play against Romania's team.

117 Indian athletes are participating in Paris Olympics 2024. Indian badminton player PV Sindhu will be the women's flag bearer in the opening ceremony of Paris Olympics to be held on 26 July. 

Table tennis player A Sharath Kamal will be the flag bearer of the Indian men's team. In a special conversation with India TV's Sports Editor Sameep Rajguru, Sharath Kamal said that for the first time a table tennis player is becoming the flag bearer.
