Parliament Scuffle Case: Crime Branch To Investigate The Incident

Delhi Police has transferred the Parliament premises scuffle case to the Crime Branch. In this case, an FIR was filed against Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi under 6 sections. Actually, on Thursday morning, INDIA Block and BJP MPs were protesting at Makar Dwar in the Parliament premises. During this, MPs from both sides came face to face and there was scuffle.

Pratap Sarangi, BJP MP from Balasore in Odisha, was injured in the scuffle. Sarangi had alleged that Rahul pushed an MP, who then fell on him.

When Sarangi came in front of the media, blood was oozing out from his head. Apart from Sarangi, BJP MP from Farrukhabad Mukesh Rajput was also injured. Both were admitted to RML Hospital.

The medical superintendent of the hospital said that both the leaders had head injuries. They have been kept in ICU. Pratap Sarangi had suffered a lot of bleeding. His wound was also deep, so stitches had to be put.

After the incident, BJP MPs Anurag Thakur and Bansuri Swaraj had lodged a complaint against Rahul under 7 sections of BNS including attempt to murder, threatening, pushing.

However, the police had registered the FIR under only 6 sections by removing section 109 (attempt to murder). On the other hand, the Congress had lodged a complaint of misbehavior with Mallikarjun Kharge.

When the media asked Rahul Gandhi that the opposition MPs are accusing of jostling, he said, "No, no. It must be in your camera. This is the entrance of the Parliament, I was trying to go inside. The BJP MPs were trying to stop me, they were pushing me, threatening me. This is what happened. Nothing happens by jostling. It is our right to go to the Parliament."

It is alleged that Rahul pushed MP Mukesh Rajput due to which he fell on the sarangi. Rajput has been admitted to the ICU of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. His condition is said to be critical.

After the meeting, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, "My heart is filled with pain after seeing Pratap Chandra Sarangi. This is a black day in the history of Parliament. The decorum was violated. There is no other example of the hooliganism that Rahul Gandhi and Congress have committed."
