Picture of Transformed Sri Lankan Cricket Legend Arjuna Ranatunga Goes Viral

The photo of Arjuna Ranatunga, captain of the 1996 Cricket World Cup winning Sri Lankan team, has gone viral on social media. 

He is seen standing with Indian legend Kapil Dev. Kapil Dev won the first Cricket World Cup for India.

People are not able to believe the changes in Arjuna Ranatunga's body. Photos of him when he was playing cricket are being shared. In these, Ranatunga looks quite healthy. 

Whereas, in the photo with Kapil Dev, he looks transformed. Ranatunga entered politics after retiring from sports. He was also a Member of Parliament in Sri Lanka.

People on social media are saying that "the man standing next to Kapil is Arjun Ranatunga. I have seen many of his matches. I am not ready to believe that this is he. This is the same Ranatunga I know!".

Let us tell you that the Indian cricket team is going to Sri Lanka to play three T20Is and three ODIs. The BCCI said on Saturday that the schedule of India's upcoming Sri Lanka tour has been changed.
