Preparation for June 4: CEO Tripura Inspects Counting Hall in Agartala

Punit Agarwal, the Chief Electoral Officer of Tripura State Election Department and Dr. Vishal Kumar, the Returning Officer of West Tripura Parliamentary Constituency visited Counting hall of Umakanta School where majority of the Assembly constituencie's vote comprising West Tripura Constituency will be counted  from morning 8 am on June 4. 

After inspection all the  preparation they expressed satisfaction. Speaking with the press CEO said  that there are total 14 counting rooms in Umakanta Academy. 

Chief Electoral Officer of the state Punit Agarwal visited these 14 counting rooms. Work is still going on in the counting rooms. Adequate CCTV cameras have been arranged in the counting rooms. 

He also inspected the CCTV cameras of hall. While inspecting the strong room, the state's Chief Electoral Officer Punit Agarwal said there are 60 counting rooms in 20 centres. Adequate security measures have been deployed in counting rooms.

There are three rings in providing security. CRPF jawans are in charge of security. Adequate CCTV cameras have been installed in all counting rooms. 

He looked into other things including the electricity system. The remaining work will be completed in the next few days. There will be a system of CC cameras outside the counting center. 

He said that all arrangements have been made for peaceful counting of votes on June 4.
