Priyanka Gandhi Expressed Concern Over The Flood Situation in Assam

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has expressed concern over the flood situation in Assam. She has called upon Congress leaders and workers to actively participate in relief and rescue operations to help the affected people. 

Along with this, Priyanka Gandhi also appealed to the central and state governments to provide all possible help to the affected people. 

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote on the social media platform X on Sunday, "The news of the death of a large number of people due to floods in Assam is very sad. Due to the continuously deteriorating situation, lakhs of people are living in relief camps.

A large number of animals have also died in Kaziranga and many are injured. Our sympathies are with the people of Assam. I appeal to the leaders and workers of Congress to please participate actively in relief and rescue operations. I request the state and central government to help the affected people in every possible way. 

Earlier, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had expressed concern over the devastating floods in Assam. He wrote on the social media handle, "The flood situation in Assam is continuously becoming dangerous.

"My sympathies are with our brothers and sisters who are battling the floods. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I appeal to Congress leaders and workers to help in rescue and rehabilitation operations" he wrote.

Rahul Gandhi further wrote, ''I urge the central and state governments to provide all possible help sympathetically and quickly to the affected people.'' Let us tell you that more than 24 lakh people in 30 districts have been affected by the floods in Assam. More than 50 people have died due to floods in Assam
