Public Hits The Street As Girl Gang-Raped In Assam

A 14-year-old girl was gang-raped in Nagaon district of Assam. There is a lot of anger among the people regarding this incident. The incident happened when the minor was returning home from tuition. 

People were enraged over this incident. The student union has called for a bandh.

According to the information, this incident happened in Nagaon district of Assam on Thursday evening when the girl was returning from tuition. Here a 14-year-old girl had come out from tuition, during which three people gang-raped her on the way. The girl was found unconscious on the side of the road.

When the local people saw the girl lying unconscious, they immediately informed the police about the matter. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and admitted the girl to Dhing Hospital in Nagaon for treatment, where the matter of gang rape has come to light.

After this incident, large scale protests started. The student union called for a bandh in the area. Regarding the incident, the police said that two people
 have been detained and they are being questioned. Others are being searched for.

Regarding this incident, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the criminals who dared to commit a heinous crime against a minor girl will not be spared by the law. The Chief Minister strongly condemned the incident and called it a crime against humanity. He expressed anger over the incident and talked about strict action against the accused.

He wrote- The incident with the minor in Dhing is a crime against humanity. It has shaken our collective conscience. We will take strict action against the criminals. 

The CM said that the Director General of Police (DGP) of Assam has been directed to visit the spot and take quick and decisive action against the accused.
